Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Intake Assessment Specialist position working night shifts on a 12-week travel contract in Highland Hills, OH.

Job Details

• Behavioral Health Intake unit in a psychiatric hospital setting,
• 24-bed unit serving adult patients ages 18-99,
• Common diagnoses include detox, depression, and psychosis,
• Patient ratio of 1:4,
• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday,
• No on-call requirements,
• 36 hours per week with weekend shifts required,

Job Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,
• Current AHA BLS certification required,
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification required,
• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience required,
• Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to mental health as a medical illness,
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays,
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates,
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months,
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment,
• Ideal candidates are compassionate, unbothered by challenging patient interactions, and proactive during slower periods,
• Scrubs should be navy blue or business casual attire; hoodies are not permitted
