Details Work in the Telemetry unit of a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital Care for post-surgical neurology patients and other varied neurology diagnoses Patient ratio of 1:5 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Required to work every other weekend Floating between units required No on-call responsibilities Epic EMR used Requirements Active WA or Compact RN license required in hand at time of submission Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of Telemetry/Neurology RN experience required Experience with NIH Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurology patient care required Epic EMR experience required Skills required: respiratory care (BiPAP/CPAP management), chest tube management, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management Neurological/psychiatric care experience including craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury 2 references covering 1 year of supervisory experience within the last 3 years required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide telemetry and neuro stepdown level nursing care including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management May float between sister facilities within the region Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated Any color scrubs accepted for RN staff Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for the local rate Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not live within 50 miles of the facility First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-746909.
