• Setting: Hospital - Emergency Room / Emergency Department (ED)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 - August 31, 2026)
• Shift: 10-hour shifts, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (night shift, ED schedule)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,560 - $3,820

Job Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant certification (PA-C)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in emergency medicine, urgent care, or hospital ED
• Comfortable working 10-hour night shifts and a fast-paced emergency department
• Strong communication, teamwork, triage, and acute care skills
• Current eligibility to work in the United States; California licensure or eligibility for state licensure encouraged for this assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the emergency room in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary clinical support staff
• Perform focused patient assessments, triage, order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, x-ray, CT), and develop emergency treatment plans
• Assist with and perform ED procedures as appropriate, respond to emergency situations, and escalate care when needed
• Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic health record and maintain complete medical records
• Contribute to a positive, efficient, and safe ED environment focused on quality and patient experience
