You will report to the Electro-Magnetic Engineering and Research Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VATo be considered for Design Engineer Manager you will need:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics or closely related field.7 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with motion control systems is strongly preferred.3 years of leadership experience. Direct supervision experience is preferred.Excellent project management skills, including risk mitigation, budget control, and schedule trackingOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort presenting to senior leaders and customersAbility to travel to customer sites to support sales and provide technical support (internationally and domestically).As a Design Engineer Manager, you will:You'll be responsible for the planning, organization, and direction of all design activities in the development of new products and for technical support for heritage products. You will provide support to the manufacturing team to assure operational readiness. Build and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team for analyzing product requirements, making cost and technical proposals, developing prototypes, finalizing the design, and design validation and verification.
