Quality Engineer

HCLTech is seeking an experienced QA Test Lead with strong expertise in Capital Markets testing to lead functional, system, and integration testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of trade lifecycle processes, clearing and settlement, brokerage operations, or wealth management platforms, along with proven experience driving end-to-end testing efforts in Agile environments. Candidates must be located in or willing to work from San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX . Role & Responsibilities Lead functional, system, and integration testing activities across Capital Markets applications. Analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test plans. Execute complex end-to-end business workflows and validate expected outcomes. Coordinate with business analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure application quality. Manage defect lifecycle, including identification, tracking, reporting, and resolution. Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices throughout project delivery. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Monitor testing progress, provide status updates, and communicate risks to stakeholders. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release validation activities. Mentor junior QA team members and drive continuous improvement across testing processes. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in Functional, System, and Integration Testing. Strong experience within the Capital Markets domain, including: Trade Lifecycle Clearing & Settlement Brokerage Operations Wealth Management Platforms Expertise in requirements analysis, test planning, test case development, and execution. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software quality assurance methodologies. Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments. Hands‑on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and qTest. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities. Desired Qualifications Experience with Pershing platforms, including: NetX360 NetXInvestor Clearing and Custody Platforms Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Testim, or similar automation frameworks. Knowledge of SQL for backend data validation and testing. Experience supporting enterprise-scale financial services applications. Familiarity with test automation best practices and continuous testing methodologies. Relevant QA, Agile, or testing certifications are a plus.
