About RadiantRadiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to 5 years without refueling. Portable nuclear power with rapid-deploy capability can replace similar-sized diesel generators and provide critical asset support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Radiant’s unique, practical approach to nuclear development leverages modern software engineering to rapidly deliver safe, factory-built microreactors that use existing, well-qualified materials. Founded in 2020, Radiant is on track to test its first reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory this summer, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028.About the RoleRadiant is looking for a Supply Chain Associate to join the supply chain team supporting sourcing and acquisition of components, materials, and services for our micro-reactor systems. You'll work closely with Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs), Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations, developing hands-on experience in supplier evaluation and negotiation while contributing engineering judgment to sourcing decisions.Responsibilities & DutiesManage day-to-day PO tracking and expediting for assigned commodities.Serve as a point of contact for lower-complexity supplier relationships; escalate higher-stakes commercial issues appropriately.Analyze supplier quotes and cost data to surface savings opportunities.Support risk assessments (supplier capacity, technical readiness) using your mechanical engineering background.Help track procurement metrics (on-time delivery, cost variance) and contribute to supplier scorecards alongside SDEs.Support supplier identification and evaluation on cost, quality, reliability, and capacity, working closely with SDE and Engineering teams.Assist with negotiation prep (pricing, lead times, terms) under the guidance of senior supply chain staff.Help draft and review MSAs, NDAs, and PO terms.Collaborate with SDEs, Engineering, and Quality to translate technical requirements into sourcing criteria.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related engineering field)1–3 years of relevant experience; manufacturing, hardware, or hands-on engineering project experience is a strong plus.Strong technical aptitude with interest in developing commercial/negotiation skills.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems and standard office software (or willing to learn).Occasional travel to supplier locations (up to 30%).Desired QualificationsInterest in nuclear energy or willingness to learn nuclear codes/standards (NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ASME BPVC Section III & VIII).Exposure to supplier audits or inspections.Coursework or interest in quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100).Additional RequirementsMust be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.Benefits and PerksStock: Substantial incentive stock plan for all full-time employees.Medical: 100% up to base silver level plan for employee + 50% dependents, offers up to Platinum plans.One Medical: Sponsored memberships for employees and their dependents.Vision: 100% top tier plan coverage + 50% for dependents.Dental: 100% top tier plan coverage, orthodontia extra, 50% for dependents.Voluntary life, accident, hospital, critical illness, commuter and FSA/HSA are offered as employee contributed benefits.8-weeks of paid parental leave for all parents.
