Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This role spans from August 3, 2026, to May 27, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek (seven hours per day, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The number of campuses and specific caseload details will be determined prior to assignment, ensuring an optimal match for your skills and preferences.

Essential Qualifications:
- Current Louisiana Department of Education certification with a Special Education endorsement (SPED)
- Fully credentialed and certified in Louisiana; candidates requiring alternate certification routes cannot be considered
- Ability to meet district-specific onboarding requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with staff and families to create effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state and district mandates
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing professional development
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that reflects best practices in special education
