Veteran Program Coordinator
$60k - $76kAction Health Staffing is seeking a Veteran Program Coordinator to support military veterans entering healthcare and home care roles across North Carolina. In this role, you'll recruit, onboard, and match veteran caregivers with hospitals, clinics, and home care assignments, providing guidance as they transition into civilian healthcare careers. You'll collaborate closely with our staffing team, maintain strong communication with clients and veteran staff, coordinate schedules, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and promote a supportive, compassionate culture that reflects our commitment to both patients and caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and engage military veterans interested in healthcare and home care roles
- Screen, interview, and match veteran candidates to client assignments
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and required documentation
- Collaborate with office staff to manage schedules and shift coverage
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and veteran caregivers
- Monitor assignment performance and provide ongoing support and coaching
- Ensure compliance with agency, client, and healthcare regulations
- Track program metrics and provide regular reports on veteran placements
- Promote a compassionate, respectful culture aligned with company values
- Serve as a resource for veterans navigating benefits and community resources
