Aircraft Parts Technician - Welder

Job Description Job Description Role Summary/Purpose: Perform maintenance and repair or overhaul on aviation components in accordance with approved technical data and applicable customer and regulatory requirements. FAA Covered position Essential Responsibilities: Performs repair processes for engine components undergoing repair/overhaul following established guidelines and supervisory guidance Inspect and measure aircraft component dimensions utilizing standard tools to include but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to verify conformance to specifications. Disassemble, assemble, install parts for inspection Operates power tools and equipment necessary to perform associated tasks Work with engineering to identify failure modes and perform root cause analysis Follow all housekeeping and safety rules Required Competencies: High school diploma/GED Must be authorized to work in the United States Mechanical ability (use of power tools, hand tools, specialty equipment) Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language to interpret and follow written procedures, complete documentation, and follow verbal instructions Basic math, computer skills, attention to detail; Hand/eye coordination and analytic skills Must pass drug/alcohol screening Must meet the following near vision requirements: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16” (42 cm) ± 1” (2.54 cm) or equivalent in at least one eye, natural or corrected and capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the process involved Must be able to work 2nd shift Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Physical Demands / Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
