Now Hiring Experienced Assistant Property Manager
Certified Apartment Staffing is seeking a highly experienced Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily apartment community in Willis, TX . We are looking for a candidate with strong onsite property management experience who is knowledgeable in all aspects of assistant property management and can confidently support the day-to-day operations of the community.
Tax Credit experience is required , and candidates must be proficient in OneSite property management software .
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Property Manager with daily community operations
- Process rental applications, lease agreements, renewals, and move-in/move-out documentation
- Collect rent payments and manage delinquency procedures
- Maintain resident files and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant
- Assist with recertifications and compliance requirements for Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
- Address resident concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly
- Support leasing efforts to maintain occupancy goals
- Prepare reports, notices, and correspondence as needed
- Coordinate with maintenance staff regarding work orders and resident requests
- Assist with financial reporting, deposits, and property accounting functions
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- Previous Assistant Property Manager experience REQUIRED
- Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience REQUIRED
- OneSite software experience REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of all Assistant Property Manager responsibilities and property operations
- Must have onsite multifamily apartment community experience
- Experience with rent collections, resident relations, lease administration, and compliance
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and property management best practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within affordable housing and Tax Credit communities
- Ability to review and process resident certifications and recertifications
- Strong financial and administrative background within multifamily housing
