About the Position

Location: Upstate New York

Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts

Highlights:

• 64-bed Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit serving adult patient population
• Diverse case mix including stroke, altered mental status, renal/dialysis, COPD, CHF, and general medical-surgical conditions
• EPIC electronic medical record system
• Specialty equipment experience with IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
• Floating to other units as needed based on facility requirements
• Opportunity available for both local and travel candidates

Requirements:

• Active New York RN License (compact license accepted with NY endorsement)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Stroke stepdown experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (may be obtained prior to start date)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
