Assistant Store Manager $16.70 to $19.70 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. Earned Wage Access program available to all employees on the second day of employment. Employees can withdraw up to 50% of earned wages up to seven times in a payroll cycle. Unlimited commission above hourly base rate. Vacation: One week paid after six months of active full‑time service; an additional week after one year; two weeks each anniversary thereafter (up to 120 hours after five years). Sick/Personal: 8 hours after 6 months to first anniversary; 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2‑5); 24 hours after five years. Employee discounts available from day one. Maximum base pay rate is derived from applicant’s previous experience and skill set applicable to the specific position needing to be filled. Position Summary We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with at least six months of management or 3rd‑key experience. The role entails day‑to‑day store operations, building a positive and productive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations. The Assistant Store Manager will also analyze store financial statements to ensure targets are met, commit to the company’s asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Responsibilities Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly, professional manner and rapidly addressing issues. Monitor and assist in training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels. Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure all procedures are followed for asset protection. Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans. Administer store processes and procedures – inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting. Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting. Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans issued. Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development. Communicate clearly with employees to convey store mission and profit objectives. Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge. Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Demonstrated supervisory ability. Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification. Ability to assist customers in exterior parking or storage areas as needed. Minimum age 18. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Flexible to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Assistant Store Managers may work 40+ hours per week; hours based on business needs. Computer literate, able to operate POS systems and common office equipment. Strong multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Analytical skills. Cash handling experience required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent work ethic and strong business sense. Commission Plan Information Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of their personal performance. Details are provided during the interview.
