Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to provide specialized infusion and outpatient care. The nurse will deliver patient-centered treatments in a fast-paced outpatient oncology setting, ensuring safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other specialty infusions following established protocols.
• Monitor patient responses and manage adverse reactions during treatments.
• Educate patients on medication self-administration and post-treatment care instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient status, and clinical observations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility-specific training, including de-escalation and drug screening requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient oncology infusion experience.
• Certification in chemo administration (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
• Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion and port/fistula/catheter management.
• EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system experience required.
• Current BLS certification, with highly preferred IV certification.
