Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy hospital setting, supporting patient stabilization and treatment for diverse urgent and critical cases. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced emergency care, including critical care gtts, sedation, and ESI, responding swiftly to codes and urgent patient needs.
• Perform specialized procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and document patient status accurately using Meditech EDM, ensuring effective communication across healthcare teams.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI, to uphold safety standards.
• Support patient-centered care by fostering teamwork and demonstrating empathy, aligned with hospital values on staff collaboration and personal attention.
• Adhere to dress code and unit-specific policies, ensuring professionalism and adherence to infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license with at least 2 years of emergency department experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with critical care medications, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis protocols, with preferred trauma experience.
• Hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and ability to perform under pressure in high-stakes situations.
• Show excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with Meditech EDM documentation system and emergency equipment such as Rapid Infuser and Glidescope.
