The ability to work with others to be productive is essential to the success of this position, the company, and all team members. All team members in the entire organization are to treat each other in the same manner that they would expect to be treated themselves.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performanceFollow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on scheduleRead, write, and communicate in English & understand basic mathLearn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgmentWorking knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principlesDrive truck to established destinationInspect truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck conditionAssist workers in loading and unloading trucksProvide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operationsRead and accurately interpret company documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and federal and state regulationsCommunicate professionally and effectivelyRespond promptly to any accident, incident, or emergency callOperate, maintain, and repair vehiclesInspect completed work to ensure quality and complianceHelp, mentor, and train personnelPerform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirementsAbility to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditionsMust be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assignedFlexibility required, ability to workdays, nights, weekendsQualificationsPrevious experience driving yard vehiclesAble to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks on timeAdheres to all safety protocols and promotes a clean, orderly work environmentPhysically able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, and lift up to 40 poundsAble to communicate clearly with team members, vendors, and customersAble to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and an on-call basis as neededValid Driver LicenseEducation: High School or GED equivalent
