The Crown Macro is a Chicago-based macro trading desk. We trade global markets every day. We want the world to see what that looks like from the inside.
About the Role
We are hiring a Social Media Videographer to embed with our team. You will be on the desk every day, filming traders and leadership as they work. You capture the morning prep, the market open, the conversations, and the reactions as they happen. Your job is to show what life on a macro trading desk actually looks like and turn it into content people want to watch and share.
What You Will Do
- Embed with the desk daily and capture raw, authentic footage
- Film morning prep, the market open, team discussions, and trader reactions
- Shoot vertical and horizontal formats for every platform
- Edit and deliver short-form clips for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X
- Turn market moves and trade ideas into clear, engaging content
- Build and organize a growing archive of footage and B-roll
- Work with leadership on content strategy and posting cadence
What We Are Looking For
- Genuine interest in finance, investing, and global markets
- You follow the markets on your own time.
- You know what performs on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and X. Hooks, pacing, formats, and trends.
- 1+ years of videography or social content experience
- Strong portfolio of documentary, vlog, or day-in-the-life style work
- Comfortable shooting handheld, on mobile, and on mirrorless cameras
- Fast, clean short-form editing skills (Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci, or Final Cut)
- Instinct for timing, story, and what makes people stop scrolling
- Low profile on the desk. Knows when to step in and when to stay invisible.

- Experience with finance, trading, or business content
- Trading or investing experience of your own
- A track record of growing a social account, yours or a brand’s
