Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor

Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor Permanent role to ensure the safety and quality of all food products in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will oversee all food safety and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining high standards of consumer safety. Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year Responsibilities Oversee the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality assurance protocols throughout the manufacturing process. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits and inspections of the manufacturing facility to identify potential food safety risks and areas for improvement. Lead investigations into any food safety or quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Train and mentor staff on food safety and quality assurance procedures, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with other departments, such as production and operations, to ensure food safety and quality assurance standards are integrated throughout the company. Keep up-to-date with the latest food safety and quality assurance trends, technologies, and regulations, implementing new strategies as necessary. Prepare and present regular reports on food safety and quality assurance performance to senior management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food safety and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal food safety regulations. Experience conducting audits and inspections in a manufacturing facility. Proven ability to implement and maintain food safety and quality assurance protocols. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to train and mentor staff on food safety and quality assurance procedures. Proficiency in using food safety and quality assurance software.
