Professional Project Services Inc. has upcoming opportunity for Programmer Analyst V (Direct Hire) position at our office in Livermore, CA.

Provide technical expertise and assistance in the digital forensics and incident response service including the creation, enhancement of existing processes and procedures. Including troubleshooting and resolving issues identified within CSP's Digital Forensics and Response Team. The work shall include helping to create and/or modify CSP's Digital Forensics and Response capabilities.

Provide training and mentoring for the Cyber Security Program to achieve optimum results.

Provide support to the Cyber Security Program Management and provide incident response expertise when needed to include:

• Incident analysis
• Forensics
• Malware analysis
• Logging
• Cloud Security response strategy

Provide support to CSP senior management to optimize Cyber Security Operations services.

Collect and review information of current processes and work to optimize to industry standards.

Improve current documentation to align with optimized standards.

Provide ongoing training to cyber personnel.

Assist in developing and or modifying current CSP policies in support of the digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) service.

Assist in identifying areas for improvement with the DFIR service.

Provide ongoing training to cyber personnel.

Provide support and/or assistance for CSOC staff in security for the laboratory.

Provide support and/or assistance in the network defense for the laboratory.

Provide ongoing training to LLNL cyber personnel.

Provide technical expertise in support of any ongoing cyber incidents when needed. The work will include performing incident analysis, cyber forensics and/or malware reversing to provide situational awareness. Deliverable for this effort shall be documented in the incident response ticketing system, detailing the incident information and any remediation recommendations.

Provide support and/or assistance with logging analysis and collection.

Provide support and/or assistance with Cloud Security response strategy.

Job Requirements

B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from as accredited school/university.

M.S. Degree is preferred. Years of experience may be substituted for education

20 to 25 plus years of experience in programming or analyzing programs or systems architect design.

Extensive experience Cybersecurity concepts, practices and procedures related to application development.

Monitor and perform internal IT periodic assessments of COMSEC equipment and procedures.

Knowledge and experience of NIST data-encryption strategies and implementation, including data encryption at rest and in transit

Experience with Information Technology tools to identify sensitive data at rest and in transit

Support Information Systems forensic investigations and data-gathering per DOE Safeguards and Security guidance

Federal Government Clearance:

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
