Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Psychiatric Adolescent Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3 x 12 Hours per Shift: Flexible based on census demands Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Current RN license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: Graduate of an approved Nursing program required 1-3 years previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents preferred Basic Dysrhythmia training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation Ability to work well in high-stress situations Description: The RN is an essential member of the Patient Care Team. Responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit. Delegates those interventions that may be performed by others. Supervises as appropriate. Assists in maintaining a safe environment for effective nursing care. Provides education to patients and families. Collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care. Responsible, supportive team player. Flexibility to change days based on census demands is required. Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered. Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid. Right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract. Candidates must reside outside of a 50-mile radius. Holiday coverage required.
