Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:Participate in the design, implementation, and test of firmware/software systems.Understand hardware and software interactions, and collaborate with Hardware Engineers.Prepare and maintain designs and test documentation.Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians.Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.Required Qualifications Include:B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalentTypically 2+ years experience in one or more of the following areas- Graphical User Interface applications in Windows environments including: Object oriented design and object oriented languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java) Embedded Linux systems development including: C, C++, Python and other scripting languages, Embedded systems firmware development including: Real-time firmware design and C and assembly languagesPreferred Qualifications Include:Industrial controls3-phase electric power systemsModern communications protocolsDigital and analog circuitryDigital communications and signal processingProject managementLocation: Boise, IDThis position is located in Boise, ID, capital of the gem state, and on the Boise River in the southwestern part of the state. We are looking to fill this position at the Engineer level, and we welcome applicants with a range of experience.
