Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope LDRP care including labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn nursing in an 8-bed unit
• Manage intrapartum care including induction and augmentation, Pitocin titration, high-risk labor monitoring, and fetal heart rate interpretation
• Circulate C-sections and participate in neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
• Perform immediate newborn stabilization and routine newborn assessments
• Provide postpartum and couplet care for stable mothers and infants at a 3:1 patient ratio; maintain 1:1 ratio during active labor
• Transition independently between labor, nursery, and couplet assignments based on census and staffing needs in a low-volume, high-acuity rural setting

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• NRP certification
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Demonstrated competency in high-risk labor management, fetal monitoring interpretation, C-section circulation, and postpartum/couplet care
• Proficiency with GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN) and MEDHOST EMR systems

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE certifications
• Previous experience in a rural hospital setting
• Experience working within an LDRP model
