Quality Technician

Position Summary


The Quality Technician / Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting quality assurance activities in a team-based manufacturing environment. This role works closely with Materials, Manufacturing, Product Design, Technical Service, Quality, and supplier representatives to support technical evaluations, quality investigations, documentation control, inspection activities, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position helps ensure that quality objectives are achieved while supporting customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and Parker's Zero Defects culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure inspection, test, and production-related equipment is properly calibrated, validated, maintained, and documented in accordance with applicable quality system requirements.
• Track, coordinate, and support resolution of quality issues reported by internal and external customers.
• Support investigation of nonconformances, customer concerns, and internal quality issues by assisting with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Work with internal departments to determine formal cause, corrective action, containment, and follow-up activities.
• Complete First Article Inspections and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Support documentation revisions and updates by providing templates, guidance, review assistance, and administrative support.
• Act as a liaison for quality documentation during the review, approval, and change control process.
• Maintain historical quality data, records, inspection documentation, and controlled documents as required.
• Prepare, organize, and manage correspondence, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, quality files, and customer-related documentation.
• Assist with quality processes, audits, surveys, customer requests, supplier issues, and special projects as assigned.
• Support customer audits, internal audits, and AS9100 quality system activities.
• Assist with PPAP documentation and supporting quality records as required.
• Work with customer returns and related documentation through the ATR system.
• Communicate professionally with customers through email, meetings, and in-person visits as required.
• Support the Zero Defects Program and actively participate in the Quality Star Point High Performance Team.
• Conduct or assist with Certified Operator training classes as needed.
• Learn and support all jobs within the assigned area, including lab activities, calibration processes, receiving transactions, and related quality functions.
• Use measuring and inspection equipment to verify product conformance to specifications.
• Analyze and interpret technical drawings, procedures, specifications, inspection data, and quality requirements.
• Draft, revise, and maintain procedures, work instructions, reports, and other quality-related documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer, supplier, and business information with integrity and professionalism.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of current policies, practices, trends, customer requirements, and quality standards affecting the organization.
• Actively participate in and support the plant safety program.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Work overtime as required to support customer demand and business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Certified Inspector and/or Certified Operator experience preferred.
• Experience in a quality, inspection, manufacturing support, or documentation control role preferred.
• Ability to use a wide range of measuring and inspection devices, including calipers, optical comparators, electronic measuring equipment, and other precision tools.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical information, drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality documentation.
• Experience collecting data, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to write new procedures and revise existing procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, customer portals, Enovia, Omnex, and other business systems.
• Experience with internal auditing preferred.
• Experience supporting customer audits and AS9100 quality system requirements preferred.
• Ability to document PPAP supporting documentation preferred.
• Experience with customer returns, corrective action systems, or ATR systems preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support cross-functional problem solving.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
• Willingness to support production needs, quality initiatives, audits, training, and special projects as required.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule


Competitive Compensation

• Pay Range: $23.99/hr to $33.81/hr
• Participation in Annual Incentive Program
