Pismo’s cloud-based platform empowers firms to build and launch financial products rapidly, scaling as they grow to have a broader audience while keeping high security and availability standards.Pismo’s 500+ employees are located in more than 10 countries around the world.Job DescriptionWhat you will do:Contribute to the design and evolution of the data platform, ensuring reliability, cost efficiency, and scalabilityImplement and optimize high-performance data services and pipelines (batch and streaming) for large-scale workloadsSupport production operations for file- and event-based systems: monitoring, incident response (on-call), and continuous improvement to meet SLAsParticipate in code and design reviews, promoting best practices in testing, security, and observabilityCollaborate with partner teams and internal customers to deliver end-to-end data productsHelp reduce technical debt and simplify systems with clean interfaces and consistent patternsThis is a Hybrid position. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.QualificationsBasic Qualifications• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.• Cloud computing skills (preferably Azure/AWS) and hybrid designs• Proficiency in Golang or PythonPreferred Qualifications• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhDWhat we are looking for:• Strong software engineering background building distributed systems at scale• Experience with modern streaming processing• Data platform tooling: Terraform (IaC), Docker and Kubernetes (production) and Airflow (or similar orchestration)• Observability and reliability mindset: Grafana, CloudWatch (logs, metrics, traces), on-call participation, SLA awareness• Strong SQL skills• Version control and CI/CD: Git/GitHub, pipelines (e.g. Codefresh) or similar• Soft skills: clear communication, adaptability, self-management, critical thinking, collaboration.Information for US ApplicantsFor roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $152,200.00 to $243,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
