Position Summary:
The Front Office Agent serves as the face of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest service from arrival to departure. This role is responsible for managing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, answering guest inquiries, and resolving issues promptly to ensure a positive and memorable guest experience. The Front Office Agent serves as the face of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest service from arrival to departure. This role is responsible for managing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, answering guest inquiries, and resolving issues promptly to ensure a positive and memorable guest experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Check guests in and out efficiently using the property management system
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications
- Answer phones, emails, and in-person inquiries accurately and courteously
- Handle guest concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism
- Process payments, room charges, and authorizations accurately
- Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and security standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills; hotel PMS experience a plus
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
