Respiratory Therapist NICU/Pediatrics

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist for NICU and pediatric care. Only candidates with prior NICU and pediatric experience will be considered. Shift hours are 3x12s from 7 PM to 7 AM. EPIC charting experience is required. Candidates may be required to work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling block. All requests for time off must be included with the application. Facility may call off one shift per two weeks. Candidates must work one holiday during the 13-week contract. First-time travelers are accepted, though one year of travel experience is preferred. Candidates residing within a certain radius will be considered local. Pending licenses will be accepted, but a temporary authorization is required while the permanent license is being issued. Candidates must possess advanced skills in ventilator management, including HFJV, HF oscillator, Jet, Servo I, V60, 3100A/B, and Nitric systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation is essential. Experience with CPAP/NCPAP/BiPAP setup, extubation techniques, and various modes of both invasive and non-invasive ventilation is expected. The role involves serving neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents. Units utilize high-frequency jet ventilators, bubble CPAP, oscillators, RAM cannulas, and NAVA. Floating to different units within skillset may be required. Candidates will have interdisciplinary support from various services, including respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
