Information Security Systems Engineer - Palm Bay

Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience; in lieu of a degree, we accept a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• We require an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• We require the ability to obtain and maintain IAT Level II certification at minimum within 3 months of start, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or an equivalent credential.
• We prefer familiarity with emerging technologies such as cloud computing, containerization, and microservices, along with their security implications.
• We prefer experience with STIG/SRG compliance validation and automated compliance scanning tools.
• We prefer hands-on experience with security tools such as IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection platforms.
• We prefer professional certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or similar qualifications.
• We prefer familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipeline security, and infrastructure as code security principles.
• We prefer experience in regulated environments such as defense, aerospace, government contracting, or critical infrastructure.

• We prepare and manage Assessment and Authorization packages using RMF and related frameworks such as DoD 8510, JSIG, ICD-503, and CNSSI 1253 to secure system authorization.
• We support the design, integration, and ongoing maintenance of secure on-premises system architectures.
• We apply cybersecurity engineering and security-by-design practices throughout the system development lifecycle.
• We analyze system needs and translate them into security requirements, controls, and technical solutions.
• We conduct security evaluations, gap assessments, and risk analyses for information systems and supporting infrastructure.
• We research vulnerability details and remediation options to help other cyber teams with mitigation and correction efforts.
• We help implement and validate security controls in line with regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements.
• We participate in Linux and Windows hardening, secure configuration, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• We contribute to policies, standards, procedures, and technical documentation for information security engineering.
• We support audits, inspections, and customer assessments by providing technical evidence and responses.
• We communicate technical risks, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
