About the role:The Manufacturing Engineer II leads initiatives supporting products, processes, materials and equipment to achieve production goals. In a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this role supports multiple manufacturing processes while collaborating cross-functionally with quality and production teams.This role requires an on-site workmode, requiring employees to work from the Arden Hills, Minnesota facility. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.Your responsibilities will include:Monitor equipment, machines and tools, and correct process parameters or equipment issues that result in nonconforming product, low yield or quality concernsCommunicate effectively with peers and management across engineering, production and qualityPlan, organize and prioritize daily work to meet production requirements and project timelines, aligning with management as neededTroubleshoot new and existing product and process issues related to design, materials or manufacturingApply problem-solving and process improvement methodologies to moderately complex manufacturing processes across multiple product lines, ensuring root cause identification and resolutionDevelop in-depth understanding of equipment and technology, aligning equipment performance with production outcomesTrain and provide work direction to operators and techniciansRecognize quality signals and escalate appropriately using quality system toolsIncorporate business policies and procedures into task executionIdentify, implement and manage equipment requirements to support production objectives under general directionCollaborate with vendors and suppliers to design, procure and fabricate equipment, tooling and fixturesLeverage existing and emerging technologies to meet business needsDesign and coordinate standard engineering tests and experimentsAnalyze data, summarize findings and draw conclusions from test resultsLead small- to moderate-scope project teams as neededPartner with R&D, process development, quality, production, regulatory, equipment engineering and supply chain to ensure project successContribute to new product development and product support activities, including process capability studies, process development and validation, Six Sigma and value improvement projectsRequired qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineeringMinimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniquesAbility to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneouslyAbility to troubleshoot manufacturing processes effectivelyStrong collaboration, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiencesPreferred qualifications:Bachelors degree in mechanical, biomedical, chemical or manufacturing engineeringExperience with Minitab or other statistical softwareEquipment and process validation experienceStrong understanding of quality systemsExperience with injection molding, or metal forming tooling and processesRequisition ID: 631573Minimum Salary: $ 71500Maximum Salary: $ 135800The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
