Network Technician

Overview Senior Technical Recruiter @ Commercial Programming Systems | Technical Recruiting Expertise Client in Austin, TX is looking for a Network Technician. Assignment Information Work location: Austin, TX onsite Contract Duration: 6-12 months Responsibilities Network refreshes at clinics. Tasks include installation and maintenance of network switches (1:00 and 10:00 per clinic) and up to 25 wireless access points. Conduct preliminary surveys before installation and perform a full network audit and site surveys to determine current network performance, plan upgrades, and provide remediation guidance. Travel to every site to inspect before installation. Typically 3-4 week lead time from survey to installation. Skills Rack and stack network gear Installation of APs Data collection from phones, PCs, data ports and cabling tracing Workday Up to 8 hours per day, possibly less during surveys Reimbursed drivetime and mileage Typically 1 site per day, possibly 2 smaller sites during surveys Longer days during install days; site not considered complete until operational Survey during clinic hours; install after clinic hours Qualifications Entry-level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology, Project Management, and Administrative Industries Computer and Network Security, Data Infrastructure and Analytics, IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
