We are searching for an experienced Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) - Senior Inspector to join our team in Forsyth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with GDOT and other transportation agencies involved in winning contracts for CEI services in the general Metro Area. This is a great opportunity to produce and manage roadway construction projects and assist in growing the CEI team in our Atlanta. Key responsibilities Serve as CEI Senior Project Inspector for key roadway construction projects including interchanges. Develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity. Provide technical expertise to make recommendations that keep projects on time and within budget. Assure effective utilization of engineering and inspection personnel to verify quality project delivery. Perform contract administrative duties such as field measurements of pay items and other department‑required documentation. Participate in concept meetings, field plan reviews (preliminary and/or final), CPM schedule reviews, project close‑out, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Support general business development while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high‑quality performance standards. Coordinate with the overall Georgia CEI strategy and assist other PMs in their pursuits. Train and develop construction personnel and CEI team members. Help develop training classes for all construction personnel. Required qualifications Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation engineering in the construction of highways, bridges, and related construction inspections. Thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction. Three (5) years of managerial or supervisory experience. Project leader or lead worker experience may substitute for managerial or supervisory experience. Extensive knowledge of GDOT roadways and bridges, engineering policies, and procedures. Pass GDOT EDST Group 1, 2 and 3 within the first year. Preferred qualifications Construction engineering and management experience. GDOT Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor certification. The base salary range for this position is $81,120.00 to $91,520.00; though the position will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
