Title : Controls Engineering Supervisor
Location : Noblesville, Indiana
Hire Type :Direct
Shift : 1st shift
Compensation : $120-150k.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Controls Engineering Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of controls engineers while remaining hands-on with automation projects. This position will oversee controls design, PLC/HMI programming, machine integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support Controls Engineers.
Provide technical direction for PLC, HMI, robotics, motion, and automation systems.
Oversee controls design, programming, debugging, and commissioning.
Support FATs, machine startups, installations, and customer launches.
Review electrical schematics, I/O documentation, and controls architecture.
Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, and Project Management teams.
Develop and improve controls standards, processes, and engineering practices.
Troubleshoot complex controls and automation issues.

Qualifications

5+ years of controls or automation engineering experience.
Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience.
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
Allen-Bradley/Rockwell experience preferred.
Experience with HMI, VFDs, motion control, robotics, and industrial networking.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Custom machinery, OEM, automation, or systems integration experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field preferred.
