Registered Nurse - Diabetes Educator

Schedule

Monday to Friday, Day Shift Hours

Assignment Details

40 hours per week

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Licensed as an RN in state
• Approved CPR certification required within 90 days
• CDCES certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate, culturally sensitive nursing care to patients.
• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
• Administers medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care.
• Acts as a resource for staff on patient education program development and issues.
• Advocates for patients dealing with clinical, psychosocial, and financial issues.
