Solution Architect The opportunity with the United States Navy provides a chance to leverage extensive system design experience to anticipate and preempt future issues. As a solution architect, you will translate customers’ IT needs and future goals into actionable plans by crafting communications architectures, requirements, and design specifications. Your guidance will help transform the Navy’s technology use through cloud migration, advanced technology integration, and legacy system modernization. You will also mentor the next generation of developers toward becoming future solutions architects. Responsibilities Translate customer IT needs and goals into architecture plans. Define communication architectures, requirements, and design specifications. Drive cloud migration, advanced technology integration, and legacy system modernization. Mentor and develop emerging developers. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in space or land‑based communications architectures, RF spectrum operations, or waveform modernization initiatives. 3+ years of experience with capability assessments, operational planning, risk management, and mission integration activities. 3+ years of experience with requirements development for complex Department of the Navy systems and systems of systems. Experience with Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). Ability to brief senior military and government leadership. TS/SCI clearance required. Bachelor’s degree. Nice to Have Experience with applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG). Master’s degree in CS or Engineering. MCSA or MCSE Windows Server 2008 certification. MCSA or MCSE Windows 7 certification. IAT LevelII certification. CCNA or CCNP certification. Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $99,000 – $225,000 annualized USD. The total compensation package includes health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Full‑time and part‑time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible for benefit programs.
