The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic Head of Investor Relations (based either in Munich or in San Francisco) to act as the primary liaison between our company and the investment community. You will be responsible for crafting our corporate narrative, managing relationships with equity analysts and institutional investors, and ensuring that our company’s strategy and financial performance are accurately reflected in the market.
Your ResponsibilitiesInvestor Strategy & Outreach
- Develop and execute an IR strategy targeting deep-tech and frontier-tech investors — VCs, family offices, and institutional funds with a genuine interest in robotics and AI
- Build and maintain a pipeline of investor relationships proactively, not just reactively around funding rounds
- Lead global outreach efforts, leveraging existing relationships in the Bay Area and broader tech investor community
Storytelling & Narrative
- Own our investor narrative — translating complex technical milestones and product progress into a compelling, credible story for sophisticated tech investors
- Develop pitch materials, investor updates, and deep-dive content that reflects both the technical depth and commercial potential of what we're building
- Partner with our engineering and product teams (not just Finance) to make sure the story is technically grounded and defensible
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the investment community — VCs, angels, strategic investors, and analysts covering deep tech and robotics
- Organize and manage investor roadshows, fund meetings, and industry events with a focus on quality relationships over volume
Market Intelligence
- Track funding trends, competitor positioning, and sentiment in the deep-tech and robotics investment landscape
- Bring actionable insights to the leadership team on how the market perceives us and where the opportunities are
Requirements
7–10 years of experience in Investor Relations, Venture Capital, or a strategic role within a deep-tech, robotics, hardware, or advanced engineering company
- Established relationships within the VC and institutional investor community, particularly on the US West Coast
- Strong technical fluency to understand what we're building well enough to discuss it credibly with technical investors
- Experience working with or within early-stage startups operating in stealth or pre-public mode
- Experience supporting or leading a fundraising round
- Proven ability to craft and communicate a compelling technology narrative to sophisticated audiences
