About the Position

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of clinical CT imaging experience required License: State License - Radiographer required Certifications: ARRT Registries of Radiography (R) AND (CT), BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: - Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology - Experience with GE CT and Canon Insight Description: Days, 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1800. No call required. Potential for weekend shifts dependent on operational need. Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures utilizing an assortment of radiographic equipment, computers, and detectors. Set up the imaging room to coincide with the examination being performed. Use proper isolation precautions when needed. Provide basic maintenance and repairs. Participate in quality assurance activities. Resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Work collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules. Triage routine and emergent procedures as necessary. Handle various patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Experience in Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma Center preferred. Monitoring patient ratios and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Be prepared to float as needed within the department. Certifications in required areas must be verified. Telemetry testing required prior to start. Strict passing criteria for lethal rhythm identification on telemetry exam.
