To excel in this role as a Surgical Tech, certain skills and qualifications are necessary. This includes holding a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification, which demonstrates your knowledge and competence in the field. Completion of a surgical scrub technician program is also required, providing you with the necessary theoretical and practical foundation to excel in this role. Additionally, possessing a BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is crucial to ensure you can effectively respond to emergency situations and maintain patient safety.
