Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Cable Splicer to provide support for cable installation and maintenance at Joint Base Charleston. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities
- Install and maintain copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cables (aerial, buried, direct buried, and underground), protected terminals, cable grounding systems, manhole and conduit systems, connectors, and distribution frames.
- Perform terminating, splicing, locating, marking, testing, tagging and cross-connecting.
- Ensure that voice and data grade CAT 5/6 is installed meeting cabling standards.
- Perform cable testing to verify proper installation and performance.
