IT Field Technician

VALiNTRY is seeking an experienced Senior IT Field Technician to provide onsite technical support across multiple locations throughout the Texas service area, position is . The Senior IT Field Technician will serve as the primary onsite IT resource, responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting end user devices, printers, telecommunications equipment, network infrastructure, wireless connectivity, and user access. This role plays a critical part in ensuring reliable technology operations while maintaining the organization's security, compliance, and operational standards. Responsibilities End User Support Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues. Prioritize and manage service requests to minimize business disruption. Document incidents, resolutions, and asset information accurately within the IT service management system. Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting employees across multiple locations. Hardware, Telecommunications & Infrastructure Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, printers, multifunction devices, VoIP phones, and related hardware. Deploy workstation images, software installations, upgrades, and hardware replacements. Install, terminate, test, and document structured network cabling. Coordinate warranty repairs, equipment replacements, and vendor support activities. Conduct wireless site surveys to evaluate coverage, capacity, and interference for new and existing facilities. Identity & Access Administration Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts within Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems. Manage security groups, user permissions, shared mailboxes, and distribution lists. Support employee onboarding and offboarding while following established security policies. Assist with user access reviews, audits, and compliance initiatives. Qualifications Required Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in field services, desktop support, or enterprise technical support. Experience supporting Windows-based desktops, laptops, printers, telecommunications equipment, and network-connected devices. Strong experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Working knowledge of structured network cabling and network infrastructure installation. Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while managing priorities across multiple locations. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory with occasional overnight travel. Preferred CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), or related Microsoft certifications. Experience with IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, ConnectWise, or similar ticketing systems. Familiarity with ITIL principles and IT service delivery best practices.
