Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care across a variety of surgical specialties, including GYN, general, robotics, and trauma. The ideal candidate will work within a Level I trauma center, ensuring patient safety and high-quality surgical support.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver perioperative nursing care for diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Assist in preparing operating rooms, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper sterilization procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and surgical systems, including the Da Vinci Xi Robotics System, to facilitate successful procedures.
• Adhere to infection control standards, safety regulations, and patient care protocols, including Universal Protocol and radiation safety.
• Document procedures accurately using EPIC, ensuring proper specimen handling and labeling.
• Support patient safety efforts during Level I trauma emergency cases, including trauma and complex surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care OR experience, with familiarity in specialized surgical procedures and robotic surgeries.
• Valid Ohio RN license (pending licenses accepted; MI license required before start).
• Proficient in EPIC charting and experienced in Level I trauma centers preferred.
• Certification in ACLS and BCLS is required.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and accommodate flexible scheduling within facility needs.
• Demonstrates strong teamwork and adherence to safety standards in fast-paced surgical environments.
