A Clinical Pharmacist is sought for a contract position in an outpatient pharmacy setting located in Willits, CA. This opportunity involves day shift work and offers a 16-week plus engagement starting as soon as possible. The role emphasizes direct patient interaction and pharmacy operations oversight, ideal for a licensed California pharmacist comfortable with retail pharmacy environments and competent in managing pharmacy technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Filling and verifying prescriptions accurately to ensure patient safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Counseling patients on their prescription medications and over-the-counter products, providing clear and effective guidance
• Utilizing Cerner software for pharmacy information management and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Experience in retail pharmacy environments is preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner or willingness to learn quickly
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Comfortable overseeing pharmacy staff and workflow
