Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Primary Care Dayton VA Medical Center | Dayton, OH Full Time | Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM | Federal Holidays Off Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to support the Primary Care team at the Dayton VA Medical Center. This is more than a nursing job. Every patient you care for is a Veteran who served our country, and you will be a vital part of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) that keeps them healthy, supported, and heard. Qualifications Graduation from a practical nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of completion Current, full, and unrestricted Ohio LPN license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS required if assigned to a specialty clinic) Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary Primary Care team Obtain patient and family histories, assist with assessments, and help plan appropriate nursing care Carry out provider orders and document all care accurately in the electronic health record Administer treatments and monitor and document patient responses to medications Educate patients and families on prescribed medications, therapies, and procedures Operate EKG machines, cardiac monitors, and other clinical equipment as needed Recognize emergencies and initiate appropriate lifesaving measures Benefits Full‑time M‑F schedule with no nights, no weekends 11 Paid Federal Holidays PTO & sick time Medical / Dental / Vision / 401(k) The honor of caring for those who served our nation within one of America's most respected healthcare systems.
