About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 to 2 Years Experience Required License: Missouri or Compact License Required Certifications: BLS NIHSS ACLS Preferred Must-Have: Experience in Patient Ratio of 1:5 Cardiac Telemetry Skills Telemetry Monitoring Skills Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias Description: This is a float pool position. The clinician will float within the scope to meet facility needs. Floating may be required between departments and facilities as needed. Holiday shifts and Charge Nurse assignments may be required based on unit needs. Weekend shifts include a minimum of 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period. Experience in managing post-operative patients is preferred. Candidates should possess skills in wound care, sepsis management, and handling cardiovascular issues. Experience in pre and post cardiac catheterization is advantageous. Knowledge of gastrointestinal care, including feeding tube management, is preferred. Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and accessing ports is essential. Candidates should be adept at interpreting cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac telemetry. A strong understanding of emergency response protocols is required. All candidates must complete required compliance modules prior to the start date. The ability to handle various patient diagnoses including stroke, renal failure, and alcohol withdrawal is necessary. Additional skills in virtual nursing and use of specialized equipment may be beneficial.
