Registered Nurse (RN II) - Surgery - Full-Time, WeekendsRegistered Nurse (RN II) – Surgery – Full-Time, Weekends Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work Location: Texas Health Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work Schedule: Full – Time, Weekend Shift (36 Hours/Week) Two (2) 12-hour weekend shifts + one weekday shift 0630-1900. NO Call Required. Department Highlights: · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team · Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 75 surgeries/day · Level I Trauma Candidate performing high-acuity and intense surgical procedures capable of providing excellent clinical experience to the new hire. · Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases are the highlight of surgical offerings at THFWQualificationsHere's What You Need Education · Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required · Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred Experience · 1 Year Of Experience as a Registered Nurse or the completion of an RN residency program Required · Operating Room Experience Preferred · Neuro and Ortho Experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications · Current RN licensure Upon Hire Required · BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required · ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of Hire Required What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process · Assesses the patient · Plans the care of the patient · Intervenes as appropriate · Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions · Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. · Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information · Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
