RN Supervisor, PreOp -PACU - Encinitas

Overview This is a full time, benefited, exempt PreOp‑PACU RN Supervisor position. The shift is typically Monday–Friday with a varied shift. You will work closely with the Manager for staffing coverage. This position is eligible for the Supervisor incentive compensation plan. Responsibilities Supervise approximately 20 direct reports and manage PSE, Pre‑OP, Endoscopy and PACU units. Coordinate initial meetings for employee onboarding and assist the manager with staff evaluations. Manage timecards (UKG) and assist in the interviewing and hiring of new employees. Help with budget development and preparation for the move to the new tower on the Encinitas campus, anticipated May 2026. Ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and promotes patient safety. Share leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager. Ensure the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care, including active participation in planning and coordinating patient care and direct hand‑off to the next appropriate level of care. Qualifications Two years applicable clinical experience, one of which in a leadership role. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, team development, planning and follow‑through skills. Graduate of an accredited program. Maintains current California RN license. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred: BSN degree. Possesses hospital RN experience in Pre‑OP, PACU, ICU, Endoscopy and PSE. Preferred: one year or more of supervisory or higher experience.
