Personal Care Assistant

**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** **Description:** **PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT** **Location:** Sharon Hill, PA **Status:** Full time **Shift:** Mon - Fri, 8 a to 430 p, 730 a report time for home care **Incentive** Sign on Bonus **Position Purpose:** This role impacts participants lives by providing essential personal care services and health support. **Position Details:** $2500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment paid in 3 installments. Role includes both home care and facility work. Must be able to report at 730 am for home care assignments. Must be available to work 2 holidays per year. **What you will do:** + Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring. + Provide assistance with daily activities, including toileting, grooming, and meals. + Aid in maintaining physical activity and exercise routines. + Identify safety hazards and respond to emergencies. + Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and housekeeping. + Report any changes in participant's condition to center staff. + Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation. **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization upon hiring. + Preferred experience in long-term care or geriatric programs. + Strong communication and organizational skills. + Valid driver's license, insurance and use of personal vehicle for home care assignments. + Ability to work independently and adapt to change. + Some travel within the region may be required. **Position Highlights and Benefits:** + Comprehensive benefit including 1st Day medical coverage, dental, vision, paid time off, 403B and educational assistance. + Access to daily pay and employee referral incentives. + Supportive environment with a patient-centered focus. + Opportunities for professional development. **Ministry/Facility Information** **Mercy LIFE Sharon Hill** , part of Trinity Health PACE, provides high-quality care to seniors in the communities we serve.
