Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Rotating (Days and Nights) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a high-acuity Level 4 NICU setting
• Manage and monitor patients on oscillators, conventional ventilators, CPAP, nasal cannula specialty gases, and related respiratory support equipment
• Perform and assist with line management including PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC, UVC, and PAL lines, as well as care for patients with trachs, ostomies, and G-tubes
• Deliver pre- and post-operative care for neonatal surgical patients, including management of multiple-drip line changes
• Float within scope of practice to other units and satellite campus locations as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided from home base facility
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (or confirmed ETA for licensure posting prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 4 NICU
• BLS certification (current)
• Advanced NRP certification (current)
• Cardiac experience required
• Must have reliable personal transportation; willingness to float to satellite locations and other units (PICU, CTICU, Med Surg) within scope of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• Level 3 NICU experience with strong surgical background, including care of newborns undergoing surgery
• Previous travel nursing experience (first-time travelers with Level 4 NICU experience will be considered)
