Patient Care Tech PCT Night Shift

Overview Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - Taylor Campus, located in Taylor, MI, is a 40‑bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Patients often require additional critical care for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious disease, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. We are a small, specialized hospital offering a fast‑paced and friendly work environment where care providers learn to know patients and families. Position Full‑time Night Shift Patient Care Technician. Responsibilities Perform technical, multi‑skilled direct and indirect patient‑care activities under the supervision of a RN/LPN/LVN. Report deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse. Use basic infection‑control procedures, nutrition and fluid intake, and recognize emergency situations to respond appropriately. Required Skills High‑school graduate or equivalent. Completion of an approved nursing assistant or PCT program or successful completion of the Hospital’s PCT training and orientation program. Current BLS certification from an approved Vibra vendor. Additional Qualifications/Skills Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Patient Care Technician/Associate in the state of employment preferred. Ability to project a professional image. Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Phlebotomy training and ECG training preferred.
