About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Faculty Affairs to join its mission-driven, innovative, and academic leadership team. The successful candidate will be a tenure-stream faculty member in a relevant focus area, with a senior leadership background in a similar academic setting. This pivotal role involves strategic oversight and management of faculty engagement, appointments, professional development, and evaluation, with a strong emphasis on fostering a collaborative and inclusive academic environment. The VPFA will play a critical part in supporting the institution's mission of excellence in education, research, clinical care, and health policy, particularly in the context of the company's commitment to developing a diverse healthcare workforce and addressing the needs of the medically underserved. Candidates for the Vice President of Faculty Affairs position at the company must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field and be eligible for an academic appointment as an Associate or Full Professor in the tenure stream. A minimum of 10 years of leadership and management experience in faculty affairs or other relevant administrative roles within higher education, particularly in the health and biomedical sciences and STEM fields, is required. The role demands a visionary leader who can inspire and innovate in the academic community, with a focus on cutting-edge research, data analytics, and community-engaged scholarship. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the academic and professional development needs of faculty in a diverse and dynamic educational environment.
