Registered Nurse - Immunotherapy/Chemotherapy

Location: Juneau, AK

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Days

Job Description: The Registered Nurse specializing in Immunotherapy and Chemotherapy will oversee department operations and ensure high standards of patient care. This role includes comprehensive management responsibilities and the supervision of nursing staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial performance, including budget setting and resource utilization.
• Coordinate nursing service orientation and ongoing training for new staff.
• Manage patient care assignments based on individual patient needs and staff qualifications.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards in nursing practices.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care.
• Communicate administrative concerns and employee issues to the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Maintain departmental goals and performance standards, evaluating staff performance regularly.
• Act as Acting Chief Nursing Officer in their absence, handling overall nursing activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted RN license in Alaska required at time of application.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a staff RN role focusing on immunotherapy/chemotherapy.
• 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of nursing care principles, regulatory standards, and hospital policies.
• Certifications in ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
