Job Description
- Serve as fiscal officer for the homeless shelter, seeking grants and other sources of funding and insuring expenses are kept in line with the annual budget
- Preparing and submitting reports and other necessary information to funding agencies on time
- Supervision of daily operations of the shelter
- Hiring, training, supervising, evaluating and conducting disciplinary action for all paid personnel
- Monitor the operating manual of policies and procedures for the shelter and employee compliance to those policies and procedures
- Maintain positive and professional contacts with funding sources, relevant government bodies and other community agencies and businesses
- Participate in planning, development and implementation of new and expanded programming
- Maintain an effective public relations plan including website, social media and public speaking
The Haven is a homeless shelter that is open 24/7. It serves men, women, and families. In addition, it provides "to-go" meals for any community member.
