Clerical Support Team Lead - Emergency Department

Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Shift: Rotation (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Worker Type: RegularExemption Status: No Job Summary Directs and supervises clerical support staff. Coordinates and performs front line office activities in an effective and efficient manner for the department. Coordinates schedules, training and education of all assigned staff. Accountable for the performance and alignment of the clerical teams to defined goals. Job Duties Directs and assists with clerical support to the department. Participates in recruitment, interview, and selection process of clerical support staff. Coordinates training and orientation programs for assigned staff. Utilizes established metrics to track and report on clerical team performance to department leadership. Assures continuing education is communicated to and or attended by all access team members. Conducts performance appraisals and addresses performance problems. Develops and maintains policies and procedures for assigned area. Evaluates operations and recommends and implements changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for staffing plans and daily schedules; establishes work priorities. Attends all necessary team meetings as a representative of the team. Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
